About the Chef
Our in-house Executive Chef & Proprietor Tad Engstrom was born in Massena, NY and trained at the New England Culinary Institute, receiving on site experience at some of the top resorts in the US, including Boca Raton, FL and Denver, CO. Since moving to Greensboro, he has worked as the sous Chef at 223 South Elm Restaurant and Executive Chef for Sweet Basil's Restaurant. MJ's, named after Tad's daughters Madelyn and Julianna, was opened in April 2011 serving Southern Cuisine with French influences. He has extensive experience in on and off site event catering. In meeting with you, we will customize our menu to you and your special event.
